Can I pick up the bricks myself?

Yes, you can collect your bricks from our yard in Reservoir, VIC. There are some important factors to consider when picking up your bricks. Each brick weighs approximately 4kg, which means one pallet of 500 bricks weigh 2 - 2.5 tonnes. This is beyond the capacity of most standard utes or trailers. For quantities of more than one pallet, several trips will need to be made or a truck will be required.

Also, please be aware, full payment is required before the bricks can be collected. Payment can be made via cash at our yard or via direct debit or credit card over the phone. Please note: a 2% surcharge applies for all transactions made via credit card over the phone.

Our yard is open 8am-3:30pm weekdays however we ask that you call us in advance on 0427 966 190 to let us know when you are planning to view or collect your bricks. This way we can ensure your bricks are readily available in our yard

How many bricks will I need for my job? 

Building a wall or fence? 

You will need 48.5 bricks per square metre

Paving a patio area or garden footpath? 

You will need 40 bricks per square metre

Are the bricks cleaned and ready for use?

All our recycled bricks are hand-cleaned in our yard and stacked onto pallets in quantities of 500. Each brick is cleaned as carefully as possible by professional brick cleaners. The nature of recycled bricks may mean that there are some minimal paint flecks or irregularities between individual bricks. This adds to the uniqueness and character of the bricks. We do our best to ensure each pallet of bricks contains only full bricks which are suitable for use in either building or paving.

Will they match my existing brickwork?

All our recycled bricks are reclaimed from demolished homes and building sites around Melbourne. They are then hand-cleaned and stacked on pallets based on their colour and quality. While we do our best to maintain a level of consistency within a pallet, there can be slight colour or textural variations between the bricks. For this reason, we cannot guarantee that our bricks will be an exact match for your existing period brickwork. 

If you do have existing brickwork that you are trying to match, we invite you to send a photo of your existing bricks to info@thebrickrecyclers.com and we will be able to advise you if we have a suitable product in stock.

Can I view the bricks before ordering?

You are welcome to visit our yard to view the bricks prior to ordering. Our yard is open 8am-3:30pm every weekday (excluding public holidays) however we ask that you call us on 0427 966 190 prior to your arrival so we can help you find what you are looking for. Our yard is located in Reservoir, VIC.
